Rachel Carson Council’s
Golf at a Crossroads Article
“Golf at a Crossroads: Hazardous or Healthy Strategies” is an article featured in the June 2010 issue of Outlooks on Pest Management, published in Essex in the United Kingdom. This nine-page article explores the potentially serious impact of pesticides on people who work and play on golf courses, as well as their human and wildlife neighbors. It also offers low-risk pest management alternatives. The acceptance of RCC’s article by Outlooks on Pest Management, a science-based publication reflects the relevance and high quality of our work.
Dr. Leonard G. Copping is the editor of this publication in which the other current articles include the use of IPM, natural products, biotechnology and organic farming, as well as chemicals, covering the management of weeds, pests and diseases.
The article, “Golf at a Crossroads: Hazardous or Healthy Strategies” is based on “Golf at a Crossroads,” a 36-page, four-color brochure produced by Rachel Carson Council supported by a grant from the Wallace Genetic Foundation of Washington, D.C.
